Peter Jackson

Peter Jackson is the current DHI past president after serving as DHI president from 2012-2018, Vice-President from 2009-2012, and as a Bureau Member-at-Large from 2006-2009.
​
He retired as a Lecturer and Curriculum Manager of a large college after 20 years in 2009, and now he is a part-time Chief Executive (volunteer) of two organizations - the British Deaf History Society and the Institute of British Sign Language, which seeks to regulate qualifications in BSL Studies.
He is the author of numerous books on British Deaf History and also Deaf Crime. He has a passion for researching 17th & 18th Century Deaf individuals.
