Wyatt Scott is a Canadian graduate of Gallaudet University with two bachelor’s degrees in government studies and world history, and holds a master’s degree in public administration from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
He worked in different federal government departments and volunteered in a non-profit organization, Deaf Youth Canada - Jeunes Sourds du Canada, for the past few years, serving as vice president from 2018-2020. Wyatt has been training a new generation of youth Deaf leaders in Canada. Beginning in January 2021, Wyatt will be a program director for the Canadian Association of the Deaf - Association des Sourds du Canada. Also, he has been a World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) Youth Camper and has attended WFD Congresses since 2015.
He has a passion in studying world history from ancient times to the early modern period, ranging from Deaf history and LGBTQ+ history to paleontological history and political history. His main interest is to uncover hidden Deaf history from ancient through medieval times around the world.
