Ambitions for DHI: To encourage Deaf people to take their own history seriously to conduct research, present scholarly papers, and write books (or create films/videos) about their communities.  Too much information has already been lost over the years — we are constantly reminded of the saying: “To destroy its records is to destroy the thing itself.”
