Here, you can find information on national societies on Deaf History, museums on Deaf History and other initiatives. The information is listed in two ways: geographically and non-geographically.
Geographical information is information on the history of deaf people per continent and per country (UN Classification, geographically).
Non-geographical information is information on the history of deaf people who belong to nomadic groups or minorities that are not necessarily geographically bound.
We are aware of the fact that the information is far from complete and thus welcome your input.
Do you have information on historical societies, museum and other initiatives about Deaf History in a country or from a minority?
Please let us know! We will place your information on the website to share.
For research-related information, we refer you to the members-area where you can find a list of relevant archives and other relevant addresses on research per country and minority.
